You can get the number 10 from O'Connell Street. If I remember it leaves from the Spar on the GPO side of O'Connell Street.

38/a, 10 or 122. 38/a and 10 will leave you on Berekly Road which is just a short walk from the Mater entrance. 122 actually goes down Eccles St.

What department of the Mater are you going to. Some entrances are nearer to Dorset Street so the 16 or the 122 are also possible

Isn't the mater a five minute walk from O'Connell street?

If you have long legs maybe!

You'd be quicker walking than waiting for the bus. And then when the bus arrives you'll be on it for about 2 mins.

Walk or take a Dublin bike?!

Prob about ten/twelve. But definitely do-able.
