I have some welding to do on a mk2 Golf Gti, is there anywhere in Cork that rents out Mig Welders?

I rang Careys and was told they only rent out arc welders.

    Cheers Murph

    Hi Murph,

I have be looking in Dublin in the past, and I could anywhere which will rent one.
The main reason I believe is because of the gas you need.
I would say your best bet it is to rent of a private guy.

Sorry for the bad news, I hope I am wrong.
    cheers

I bought a mig welder gas/gasless from Scott Jebb in Doneraile recently €395 Ph 022 72859.
You can use a Guiness or Coca Cola etc. gas bottle for Co2, regulators are about £40 on ebay.
Munster Co2 in Mayfield fill the bottles for a few euro

That sounds like a nice deal this CO2 refill.
Do you mind me to ask you where did you find the bottle?

Did Munster Co2, sold you one?

    Cheers

These bottles usually remain the property of guinness etc. if you know anyone in the pub, brewery,or catering trade they may be able to give you one.

    Murph,

There's a guy in the south east that does welding. He's very good and very reasonable. Go onto www.vagninjas.com and ask the lads there for BLZEEDUB

Thanks for the replies lads, a friend of mine was good enough to give me a loan of his mig welder:D

I need a refill of gas/exchange bottle though.

Isnt it Argon gas used for Mig welding?

What kind of money is a half bottle of argon?

    Cheers Murph
