I've recently reinstalled windows, a fresh install on my machine, asi was having problems with getting BSOD but it hasn't fixed the issue.

So i've gotten 2 BSOD in a day now, but caused by the driver "ntoskrnl.exe", does anyone know why this might be happining?

What did you think would happen when you installed windows on a machine! Windows are for cars and houses silly! :pac:

Sounds like a hardware issue, anything from faulty ram modules, hdd or m board. You can download various PC diagnosis tools.

    for memory.. http://www.memtest86.com/download.html, http://www.memtest.org/#downiso

apart from that, you really need to look into the errors you're receiving for something more specific.

If it was me, I would copy ntoskrnl.exe from your windows cd into the system32 folder. The file might be corrupt.

Let us know if that fixes it

would a format of my harddrive and fresh install of windows fix the corruption thing?

I'd suspect the HDD. Scan the drive, I reckon it will show up a load of errors.

    What scan would reveal that?

I'd use a Linux utility, but for windows, not sure really.

Try this, Goto My computer & right click your C drive & select properties, goto tools & check it there, I've no idea how reliable it is though.

If that doesn't help find out what your HDD is, hint, device manager & see is there a specific HDD tester for that.

    EDIT: Read this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315265
