    :rolleyes:Hi all

ok so bare with me on this but I am a complete ignorant when it comes to techni/pc stuff..dont even know how much is 1GB and 2GB etc:o:confused:..or what its worth should i say.

as every techni stuff i have lately have been breaking down, Ipod nano, phone (blackerry pearl) i started to fancy the new Iphone 4 as im thinking it will be useful to have it all in one instead of buying each again.

    I need it mainly for:
    Texting
    Music
    emails
browsing (nothing heavy and dont care for video/ youtube stuff)

So far I tend to have large phone charges for roaming when outside the country and texting. DOnt know about browsing the net ..its foreign to me the capacity

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks guys

I'd say get it but shop around if you're thinking bill pay as there are some great deals that include roaming and internet use.

iPhone is great but do you really want to spend so much money on a phone that you want for light browsing and email. Do a bit of homework and consider android as their phones are cheaper than an iPhone. Mind you the cheaper android phones are nowhere near as good as an iPhone

It's an iPod that makes calls.

That was the reason I bought it. Then I discovered Apps

    Buy it.

I just got one having moved from the N900, previously HTC phones last year. iPhone is basically the VHS or Windows of the phone world - it's not the best technically but everything is on it, it works well (well better than well) and around 10 seconds with the iPhone 4 was enough to see the speed of response and interface was way beyond other phoens, including Android which is "technically" better - but so was Betamax.

To be honest, most high-end phones will do what you describe.

There are a number of questions you need to ask yourself, though:

1: Can you really justify the price of an iPhone 4, given other phones can do what you need at a lower price?

2: Have you used a touchscreen phone much? Some people love them, some people hate them - it is a personal preference

3: Would you be comfortable with iTunes and transferring all your stuff over to the iPhone? (seeing as you had an iPod, I would imagine you would)

Go into a shop an play around with it for a while to see if you like the user interface. I doubt you will be disappointed. :)

I am an iphone4 convert for 2 days (took me a long time to be convinced to change) and its the best move ever. I was a long time nokia lover but the iphone is the ultimate gadget and its a phone. Its easier than u think to get used to touch screen and its easy to use. Just dont get hooked! Believe me you will never go back! :)
