As you prob. all know 4a is withdrawn, 4 is subject to the revised crappy network Direct timetable. ( happened a few weeks back )

New proposal is to withdraw No.11 from North side, and extend the 13 to Wadelai.

so now is the time to complain to Dublin Bus...

Just keeping you in the loop.

    Expect other route changes soon.

( Ps no consultation with anybody on these changes was done )

No point complaining to Dublin bus. It is a done deal. Big cutbacks imminent.

Whens the 11 changing? Will the 11a and 11b still run to the northside? Not many busses left that stop on the ballymun rd.

    For now we have 11, 4, 13, 13a, 19a.

5 busses is pretty good going now...

Well if OP is right, there won't be an 11 for long. And the 4 merger is a cut by 30% weekdays and 66% Sundays.

Saying there's 5 buses doesn't mean much in its self -- they could be the lowest or highest frequency buses, different mixes of both, or somewhere in-between.

    The 4a is abolished.

The 4 is now hourly. ( see http://www.dublinbus.ie/en/Your-Journey1/Timetables/All-Timetables/4-/)

11s on the northside are being abolished.....

leaves you with 13s or 19a to get to DCU,

Hourly? Used to be 4 of them in that time, ridiculous.

Worth noting this is only on Sundays.

The 4 being cut by 33% isn't THAT much of a big deal,

We'll have to differ on that.

add in the 11/13/13a/19a and your never waiting more then 10 mins.

lol to "never waiting more then 10 mins" :D

As was said the 11 looks like it is to be scraped on the northside.

    Mr.S wrote: »
Reduced service on the Sunday isn't a big deal aswel because of it being Sunday and most people stay away from college;)

Quite a lot of people live at and around DCU as well as around the route. A good few students live up in Ballymun where there are no 19s, so less buses again.

]Again, if the 11 is cut it will suck for the people getting it from South Dublin but for us town folk it won't make a difference really.

    Moaning over nothing tbh!

Err... it's still another cut on the amount of buses heading towards town from DCU. Also, you seem to be looking at this a lot of this from a "it does not affect me" position. While that's fine for you, it does not mean it does not affect others.

hah, the 46A will be the last to go, most regular bus I know of and with good reason, the N11 -> Dun Laoghaire route is very busy, but it shouldn't extend so far into town, just gets snared in traffic, stephens green or nassau st are plenty far enough...

just returning to this - the 4 is hourly now during weekdays - check the timetable in the link.

Nope, you're reading it the wrong way. Timetables are now read from left to right.

If buses are not turning up around every 15 mins it just shows Network Direct is not working, at least not for route 4.

46A is plenty full at various points on the route, and will be even more full when it has to take all the people that used to get the 10

Every 4 now goes all the way to Stradbrook road.
15 minutes has been taken off the 46A journey on the southside since it doesn't have to piss about stillorgan/monkstown farm.

Changes so far have been pretty good. How do I thank Dublin Bus?

    LOLOLOL!

I live on Stradbrook Road. I've lost count of the timetabled buses that haven't shown up recently. The 4 is a joke! I've missed 5 lectures in the past two weeks thanks to Dublin Bus' shoddy service. Why do I bother paying 78 euros a month? I'm learning to drive so I don't need to rely on this joke of a service any longer.
