    Hi everyone,
I need all the tips you've got on how to sell a car. I did a search and looked at the FAQ but nothing was comprehensive.

The NCT is running out 01/11 so I've got it booked in early (first week of November) and it's getting a standard service before the NCT since it needs a new brake light anyway and if anything pops up on the NCT I'll get it fixed later & retest since a retest is cheaper than a pre-NCT check.

What else should I know? Where should I advertise it? (obviously adverts.ie, what other good free/cheap websites/papers are there?)

donedeal.ie, with good pics, a 3 (oops, meant 2 obviously) year test and freshly serviced it should go providing the price is right :)

What car is it? Engine? Spec etc?

Throw it up on DoneDeal too.

    2003 Toyota Yaris
    5dr
    1.0L
Metallic Red (it's a really nice colour actually)
    81k miles

Haven't decided what to put it up for yet but other cars being posted in high 3k low 4k, would go with the lower end for a quick sale I guess. Edit: probably mid 3k since donedeal.ie has a lot more yarises and they're around there.

I love my car actually. I named it. I'd keep it forever if I could.

Give it a good clean inside and out before you take the pics. A little elbow grease goes a long way.

Take the pics in a place and light that show the car well. (Not the local Tesco car park)
Include a pic of the interior, and one of the dash, showing the milage (if possible).

Oh, and depending on where you live, putting an advert on the noticeboard of the local supermarket can work wonders.

    GLWS.
