Picture Quality (HD Box)

Hope someone might be able to explain/solve my picture quality issues.
I have just switched from Sky+ to Sky HD. Installed last week. The HD box is located in the sitting room with the main TV and the picture quality is perfect on all channels.
However I have other TV's in seperate rooms and the picture quality is really poor, white snow & lines, but wait for it as this is the wierd thing, it seems to be a really poor picture only on some channels, while other channels it is not near as bad (but still not perfect).
The Sky installer was to call back to hook up the old sky+ box for FTA, but ofcourse he isn't answering his phone and has not replied to messages left.
Phoned Sky and spend 25 minutes explaining problem (mostly spent on hold) and they have scheduled a call out for two weeks time.

I'm going to get someone else to set up the FTA box and hopefully he can sort out the picture quality issues also, but I have to wait a week for him also.

Anyone have a idea why this is happening. It was not an issue with the old Sky+ box.

    Thanks.

Have you tried a channel rescan on one of the TVs, new box might be using a different channel to send the signal.

Could be the Sky RF out is on or near a local Analogue channel.

The RF Modulators/Loop through on Sky boxs are horrid. Better to get FTA boxes for all the other TVs.

Thanks for the answers to my earlier query. Had a tech look at the set up and it was a dodgie wall connection which was causing the bad picture.

On a different but very much connected topic, while the piuture quality to all rooms is now perfect the sound quality is very low (I mean low) in all rooms.
In fact the sound quality at my main TV hasn't been as good since installing the HD box.

Anyone have a similar experience or suggest a fix ?

    Thanks
