I know this is short notice but I ave to go to a awards night tonight and to be honest kind of forgot about it until yesterday. No time to go looking to buy a new outfit.

So my options are as follows.

    1. maxi silk jersey red, grey and black print dress. Very low cut so can be worn with a cami under for day and low low for night!!! Add red or black cardi and heels.

    2. A black and white jersey maxi dress with a jewelled neckline, would wear with a black shrug, tights and heels.

    3. midnight blue velvet Beth Ditto for Evans dress, just above the knee so could wear with thick black tights and heels and funky jewellery. I normally would wear it with legging as I HATE my fat legs. My husband thinks it might be a little to much for this event.

    4. Black dressy trousers and purple silk blouse. black wide belt on trousers and mega heels.

I will have less that a hour form when I get home from work to get showered, hair and make up and out the door. so I really need to know what to wear. Its not black tie but a dressy event.

    Help Please.

It's difficult to judge without pictures, but I know you don't have time to post them up!

My instinct would be to go with option no.2, purely because the jeweled neckline seems nice and awards-event appropriate.

I would say no 3. I think maxi dresses worn with shrugs/fancy jewellery/ tights etc can look very frumpy.
A shorter midnight blue velvet dress sounds lovely though.

I go for the last option.
    Dressy trouser and pretty top.

    Go with the blue velvet!

I adore that dress, can be dressed up or down so easily too.
