hi all i recently bought a second hand iphone 2g, i have read now that it doesnt have mms, but its jail broken?? so is there a way i can update it add in mms???

Yeah there's definitely a way to do it with Cydia. Try this:

i have the same problem, only cydia has just disappeared from the menu, any ideas how to get it back?

Go to jailbreakme.com on your phone and it should reinstall cydia for you.
