The CW has ordered a script for a new drama to be developed by Michelle Trachtenberg, according to Deadline.

The show is reported to be a new project by Gossip Girl’s Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, who will serve as executive producers.

Based on an idea of the former Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress, the show will star her as a criminology student who has a talent of profiling and a dark past.

Josh Schwartz is also writing Ghost Angeles, a supernatural romantic comedy series starring The O.C.’s Rachel Bilson.

^ sounds like that Eliza Dushku vehicle from a couple of years back

The CW is reportedly developing two new supernatural shows.

According to New York Magazine, the network has ordered pilot scripts for the projects.

Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain, who have both previously worked on The Vampire Diaries, Dollhouse and Angel, are reportedly developing an adaptation of the Secret Circle book series.

The show focuses on a young girl who moves to Salem and discovers that she is a witch. The Secret Circle novels are written by L.J. Smith, who penned the original Vampire Diaries books.

Meanwhile, former Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel producer Marti Noxon is developing a show called Chloe with Prison Break alum Dawn Parouse. The series is said to follow a young female con artist who passes away but returns to earth as a Divine Covert Operator, or an angel.

Noxon has also worked on shows including Mad Men, Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice.

^ so they've gone vampire/supernatural mad over at CW HQ....nothing original at all.

New supernatural shows from people involved in Buffy, Angel and Dollhouse? Sounds good to me. Beats the hell out of "procedural law/cop show XYZ"

Ghost Angeles is the worst show name I've head in a long time though.

Both of Schwartz' products (the Trachtenberg and Bilson vehicles) don't interest me in the slightest.

The Salem witch one kinda sounds cool, I'll wait for the pilot before I decide on the Angel con artist.
