Need to get a pair of shades for golf in that low winter sun.

What are the shades that guys like Oosthuizen and Ishikawa wear?

Oakley are mental money! Check out sundogs! If ya want Oakley go to outdoor shops that do hiking and skiing stuff. 54 degrees north is a huge 1 in carrickmines if your in Dublin! I'd go trawling through eBay to buy, great for sunglasses!

And I'm loving your enthusiasm about the sunshine ;)

They stock Oakley in loads of shops like Sunglass Hut and probably in some golf shops too. Try Snow & Rock in Dundrum. Never even heard of the other brand.

I played for years why you need sun glasses here in ireland unless its to avoid eye contacts or maybe a status symbol

Maui Jim have a fairly new (in the last few months I think) lens out called "HT", its excellent for golf. I've just used it for 10 days golf in the sun and found it great. I find the Maui Jim lens to be much better than any other make I've tried IMO. Their styling does leave a bit to be desired though.

So dodgy using fake glasses and lens
I'd like the use of my eyes long term

City Deal have 60% off sunglasses and have a golf range including Bolle that someone mentioned earlier and Oakley Radar Path.

American golf do have sunglasses online - maybe just not in all their stores. http://www.americangolf.co.uk/golf-accessories/golf-optical/
I think the Nike vision ones are quite good, but I just got some Sundog ones when they were really cheap on online golf!
