Shameful carry on really. Especially including two nights in a hotel and all expenses paid for. I wonder who will be training them? Must be making a mint at 200 euro a go.

so, in essence we will be able to poke em, throw chickens at them, though we need to become a friend of theirs first, no way man.

Its only €200 per person for the course. Jeez Louise!

Its not that expensive as courses go. Albeit it is a stupid course to have because us everyday idiots are able to use facebook without "training".

Expenses are expenses. Thats just life.

it's a 2 day course Berty, given to councillors, any reason to have a go at them at this stage. Add in 300 euro for the food, accomodation and transport expensed, is a bit excessive. How may will be there? say 100, comes to a whopping bill of 50,000 euro to the taxpayer. 20,000 euro to the course facilitator minus his expenses for food, coffe breaks and rent of a room, so all in all I'd say he or she walks away with 12-15 grand for two days work, showing people the ropes on facebook of all things. Not value to the taxpayer at all. It is a joke considering any 10 year old could show you how to use facebook in 2 hours.

It makes no difference what the course is or how much it costs, councillors have a maximum amount of expenses they can claim in a year and they will go out of their way to claim every cent.

I'm seriously in the wrong job. Wish I could get €200 to show someone how to log onto facebook to make friends with complete strangers, talk crap and join pointless groups that do nothing. And why to they need to stay overnight in a hotel? If they did need to do a course have these people ever heard of MS Live Meeting? It could all be done from their office or home.

Actually, the more I think of it the more these councilors should be running the course, not attending it.

Try it next time you are trying to talk an idiot through the simplest of things on the internet. Im currently backing up my system onto a DVD-R so I can then install windows 7. Sounds easy to me and you.

    Try an idiot.

"Press any key to log on"
    "Where's the any key"

I'd get my coat at that stage.

Imagine behind miles away trying to coax them through what the difference between the return key and enter key is.

I'd say even less than 2 hrs. ffs - thats really taking the p*ss. If I hear of any of the councillors in my area going on that, they are 100% guaranteed not to get my vote. I'd vote for Micky Mouse first.
