Hey, I am applying for the JET programme for next year and was at the recent talk in the college about it. Anyway part of the application is getting two academic references so I need to find two lecturers, course head's etc who can write me up a reference. I don't know any of my lecturers to talk to personally so not really sure how to approach this. The coordinator for JET said that they don't have to particularly know you personally to write you a reference letter so maybe I should just go and approach my favourite ones. Anyone else applying for this or can advise on how to get references?

    Thanks

Lecturers are well used to this. They also get emails from ex students from 10 years ago that they never spoke to looking for a reference. Just ask your favourite, tell them it's for the JET program, I'm sure they'll oblige.
