    any help?

java is installed but javavm folder is not there anymore (this is where jre is apaerently and openoffice needs to see it to work with DB) - wtf

The good thing about Apple deprecating the Java run-time on the OS X platform is that there will be timely updates from Oracle (presuming they take it over) and **** like this shouldn't happen in future.

ye - i should have thought to not install this till next week because I knew openoffice needed working java and this might screw it up yet I installed it anyway neooffice is doing the job for what I need.

Apple shouldnt just do this though after all the time supporting it and making a point of it.
