N.B. as indicated above this shoot is on a SATURDAY. This follows the success of holding the NTSA Nationals on a Saturday, fits in with the Club's other disciplines, and avoids clashing with the UCD airgun shoot.

Great to hear! Hopefully this barrel won't be completely useless. What did you go for? Nice Lilja?

    Nice one, Sandy.
Count me in too - Should be able to make it down for an early detail.

Yeah the 21" Lilja, installed by Rob Nibbs. Fitting a MEC tube to get the sight radius back to the normal length.

Will be a little lighter, that was my main reason for taking the 21" instead of the 27"

Please be advised that due to circumstances beyond our control we have had to put this shoot back by a day.

The shoot will therefore be held on SUNDAY 24th OCTOBER

    Otherwise details are unchanged.

    Please pass the word.

Mods, can you change the OP to reflect this? I can't see how to edit it.

Apologies for the late notice and for any inconvenience caused.

May or may not be able to make this if I can shift some plans around. Unfortunately, it clashes with the UCD match, and since removal orders at short notice are basically impossible, I expect I'll be the only DURC shooter to show up if I make it.

I'd also have said the wind today was trickier than it looked - until you see the score Floydster put up in it. Or maybe he's a much better wind-reader than I thought!

    Scores are here http://www.eastcoastshootingclub.com/

Nice shoot today. Definitely trickier than it looked, but, despite my absolutely poxy score, a most enjoyable day's shooting. One of the nicer ones I've had lately.

I'll have a go during the week. I'll move it the full amount at first and see whether I need to take it back to get a proper grip with my left elbow. Almost a little bit reluctant, as when it's working, I bang in big strings of tens, but it's something I'll certainly try anyway.

He's an expert when it comes to wind..........he spends most of his time pushing it out one end, or the other!!!

Done now. Setup looks strange (very short butt length to hook, handstop way out on the rail) but feels pretty good. Going to tweak it slightly again as the head is too far forward on the cheekpiece (Touching the bolt shroud, can't open the bolt without lifting my head) but probably only a little bit to do. Groups were very solid, but ten-bull cards weren't good (95s) as it seems to loosen up when I move around. That's just something I'm failing to maintain moving around between targets though. Also going to alter the relationship very slightly so as to alleviate some extra sling tension. Works though, cheers Gary!
