CV Joint Replacement

    Hi all
Have a 02 Mondeo. Just after getting the wheel bearing on front passenger side replaced, as well as front brake discs and pads. That was grand. All needed to be done.
But got two new front tyres today and was told that the CV joint on passenger side needed replacing. I don't hear any clunking sounds or anything like that.
Does anyone know how much this should cost? Are there many hours labour involved?
    Thanks

Wait until its starts making the loud clicking noice then get it replaced. It will probably take less than an hour.

If you don't hear noise I don't see how they reckon the joint is gone, perhaps the CV boot is torn ? If so get a new boot put on, could save the joint then.

Thanks for the replies. I'll get somebody else to have a look at it over the weekend so in case it's the CV boot.
