Alot of traffic passes that way every day so they are doing the right thing. More competition in the petrol station market is a good thing.

could never figure out why it was never reopened being going to waterford the last 4 years or so always taught it would be a great spot for it and plenty of room too

Id say it must of been worth more as developmental land then as a petrol station a few years ago and now its the other way around so they decided to reopen.

Anyone know whats the story with land all around it?
If i remember correctly the land behing it went up for sale as well, not where the house was more to the right when looking at it.

Few objections in, with one suggesting it goes against the City Development plan in a number of areas. Application due Nov. 4th on this anyway!

Was given permission but it was appealed by a third party.

There were major problems with some leaking oil/fuel from tanks on the land beside the petrol station for years and when they dug down, they found a lot of contaminated soil so nothing could be until there until it was cleared up.. in the end I think the planning permission was not granted anyway as Sully said..

Sure that road often operates at a snails pace. Are they trying to catch the snails on the road to prevent the ever growing lengthy delays getting down the Dunmore Road?!

Was given the go ahead on the 14th. Some conditions attached, minor enough though and nothing to drastic.

Well do not hold your breath then, they will not develop it.

Sure the planning request went in during the bad times so one would assume they were prepared.

Also the Maxol by RSC wants to do a big job on their station, demolition and re build I think. They have planning permission up.
