IMac 27" cloudy screen

Booted up the Imac and after about 30 minutes a cloudy almost circle like shape appeared in the centre of the screen. I thought at first it was a shadow caused by my head! Alas it wasn't and a good going over with a screen cleaner didn't shift it. It slowly receded and after about an hour disappeared totally. Almost like vapour condensing on the inside of the screen. Its a refurb and still under warranty so I'll be dropping it into CompuB tomorrow. Just wondering if anyone has come across a similar issue. Its a previous generation Imac not one of the new ones.

This is quite a common problem. They are prone to it due to the design. Cold air gets into the gap between the glass and the screen. It might have just been due to the temperature change after shipping.

Do you think its likely to be a recurring issue? Don't want to have to lug it down Grafton st unless I have to.

It's hard to say. Wait a week and see, I guess. But make sure you log the problem with Apple.
