    I use xylitol and have never found any problems with it. You can get it in health food shops. Its low GI, less calories than normal sugar, suitable for diabetics, and tooth friendly too :D
    Tastes the exact same as regular sugar!

    my mother swears by hermasetas (can't spell sorry) they're like little white pill in blue pack.
    I ate one when I was a kid cos I thought it was sweets.:o eugh!
