DURC made famous...

So there's a new group doing video reports of life in TCD called TrinityTV, and they cover sport, including the rifle club:

There are a few quick glimpses in the opening credits, then the main body of the report starts at 13:47 with interviews with some of the current shooters about the club, how it works, how they got into shooting and so on, as well as some footage of the range. Nice to see some positive PR!

The range looks very nice indeed in that footage. Was curious to see how it'd all turn out. Fairly solidly positive I reckon.

Mike doesn't have much luck with the trinity media getting his name right does he...

Range is looking not horrible. I almost miss it. Definately missing the shooting though.

At least they compromised and identified him as a guy this time... Range is in good nick, some good shooters coming up, plenty of competitions and results are getting better across the board. Should be a good year indeed.

Damn, I was just gonna get in there with exactly that! Shoot smallbore in DURC a few times without ear defenders and you'll know why my hearing can be a bit dodgy

There is still the minor issue of my actual name being used :P I think the other Mike Madigan may have something to say about me taking over the use of his name.

Also, rugby; not quite my thing. While I'm sure I'd be great for tossing into the air at a lineout, I may not be of much use in the pack...

Oh believe me, I get well stuck into it But, as calorietastic as German food and beer is, I've still lost weight since coming over here... I don't think there's any hope for me. Even Anschutz made my jacket bigger than the specs, no doubt assuming that I'd fill it out at some point...
