    Sup folks. I switched from multi effects to individual pedals a few months ago and basically want to see if my order is correct or if im making any obvious mistakes. Current set up is....

    Guitar -> Boss TU-3 -> E.H LPB-1 (boost) -> Ibanez tube screamer -> Blackstar HD-dist -> Boss CS-3 -> Boss DD7 -> Boss RV-5 -> Amp

    Is the boost is supposed to be last in chain? Iit gives a nice gain-ier boost to the tube screamer where it is.

    Would anyone recommend this to be set up in a different order? Also, should i be using the effects loop for some of it? (DD7 & RV-5 maybe?)

    Anyway, let me know what you think..... lookin for someone to point me in the right direction really.

    There is absolutely no right and wrong in this. The only thing that even comes close to having a single "right" place to be in is the tuner.

    However I run

    Guitar-->Compressor-->Distortion-->Overdrive-->OS/2 (blendable OD/DS)-->Boost-->Tuner-->Amp

    You could put Tuner at start for clean input, I have my tuner at the end to silence/mute when i need to. A bit unconventional yes, but it works for me.

    Just experiment and discover what works best for you. :-)

    P.S I find all modulation effects, chorus delay flanger etc.,work best in an fx loop however some people find that the sound is ''too'' clean from an fx loop.

    My fx loop consists of -- EQ---Delay--Phaser

    As above, there is no right and wrong, only guidelines...

    Also, this guy knows his pedals big time, have a listen to what he has to say and check his other vids:

    Well, I have tuner first anyways. It depends what you use your boost for really... You won't get as much of an actual volume boost when its before your other pedals but if you just want it to push your drives a bit more then thats where you should have it! I tend to have my compression early (second after my wah) because I don't like the sound of distortion compressed.. Ideally I'd have one at the end too so I can compress other effects like the Phaser but I can't see that being added for a while... I don't have a reverb pedal so I dunno about whether it should go before or after the delay but try it out with each one first and see which you prefer!

    Normally all the time based fx such as delay,chorus and reverb are place in the fx loop and the compressors and boost pedal in front of the amp.
