Create a media server

    I have an old dell pc at home 2 GBs of memory, 250 GB HD running Windows XP.

    Was thinking of turning it into a media/back up server.

    What OS and software would anyone recommend ?

    Needs to support wireless connections (pc has a wireless nic and regular cable nic)

    To support Wireless connections you'd be better off getting a WiFi rotuer.
