Zombie apocalypse ruined

A possibility that may ruin the Zombie apocalypse, as Zombies lose weight due to fluid lose and the fact it's going to have to essentially eat itself from the inside out to find energy, many could more than likely end up with their pants around their ankles within a few days.

When that happens the Zombies movement will be restricted and will probably turn it into a crawler. This could mean the vast majority of walking dead would be female, while males would have no choice but to crawl.

Will it be possible to be terrified while being chased by a crowd that have all been pantsed? Over all it could ruin the Zombies ability to cover big distances, it would also drastically reduce the life span of the Zombie as dragging along the ground is going to cause major damage to their bodies.

What?! No santa?! Nooooo! You do make valid points though but surely their pants around their ankles would eventually fall off from being dragged behind so basically youd have the undead population of men (and butch lesbians) going around in their ninnies, with a small few of them going commando and remaining minority wearing womens underwear . Now thatd be funny!

I don't know, if they're wearing shoes and not moving all that vigorously and are wearing good quality clothes to begin with they may be pants permanently. I think skin would deteriorate quicker as it's strength comes from being able to replace damaged cells which won't happen in a zombie.

I don't think Zombie will have much time standing up anyway as balance would suffer almost straight away from damage to the inner ear and inability to adjust position fast enough. The pants issue would just mean they're on the ground quicker than I anticipated.

Of course, zombies can be almost unnaturally strong. They don't feel the pain of stressing their muscles too far, so the living dead skanager could tear his track suit pants quite easily.
Tearing a belt though, that's a different story.
There may be an eye to the Zombie Apocalypse storm;
Before they are standard shamblers/sprinters.
Then the Z's have lost enough weight to reduce mobility in the manner you describe.
After, they manage to wear out their belts/belt loops or their pants in their entirety and are back in business.

The problem with being unnaturally strong is the damage it does, you can tear your muscles instantly if over excreting them, those limits are there for a reason. I would say the skanger will find it easier to rip his tracksuit pants than the banker would rip his tailored suit pants.

Also lie on your back and try lifting something with a straight extended leg, not the strongest muscles in the body.

No body said it couldn't happen, we're just talking about the side effects. We've already discussed the problems with that article.

This is why I always tryand visualise a higher intelligence zombie than most.Not reading or talking,but able to stand back up and negotiate stairs etc.

Why?Because if they can't it's a bonus,if they can it's adaptable to work around.The majority of these problems are dependant on the person,if they were an emo in skinny jeans or normal people who have their belt on/above the points of their pelvis it wouldn't matter as its bone that would grip it, entil the glutes[ass muscles] had decomposed.

Now think of all the people you know that wear trackies; they'd be pantsed after about 2 days of shambling,revenge for the skanger look :pac:

The trousers around ankles argument is moot for the first wave as they'll largely be wearing hospital gowns or be in the nip, having been hospitalised or put in the morgue.

The thing is standing up and negotiating stairs have little to do with intelligence, it's all down to damage to the inner ear and the rest of the body, it's not that they wouldn't know how as those brain functions can be quite primal.

They physically can't stand up if their muscles can't react fast enough to counter balance, you never have to really think about walking, your body does it automatically.
