    Hi All,

I just got a simple question. I worked in Ireland for 18 months from Sept. 2007 till May 2009. Only now my ex employer is going to pay a lump sum.
Since the taxation is very high on it, I was thinking to apply for a top slice relief. Looking over it seems that this method is applied considering an average rate of tax for the previous 3 tax years.
Having worked for 18 months in Ireland and then back home town, is still this method applicable?

    Many Thanks

    Alessandro
