rsj and how close to corner of external wall?

    Hi

    We are building externsion pout from our external wall and need and rsj to support external wall , but we want the steel beam really close to the side wall , how close can i go, or do i need an steel upstand to support the beam?

    Anyone any experience or offer advice?

    Best advise is to get a Qualified Engineer to make a site visit and get them to specify what is best;)

    Sorry but our forum charter prohibits the specifying or discussion on structural elements which is why you have been advised to get a structural engineer on board.
