    Hi

I have a 01 Toyota Avensis hatchback, and the Rear demister has stopped working. The switch lights up when I turn it on but, it is not clearing the window.
I checked the fuses and they all seem to be okay.

Any other idea's what I can check

Cant see where on the window it is connected up to see if the problem is there, and dont want to go taking off rubber sealing

    any suggestions

    cheers

Take your pick from the following:

    1. A broken wire in the flexible bit where it comes through from the body of the car into the frame of the liftback.

    2. One of the spades falling off the connector on the heated filament, you will have to remove the trim to see if this is the case.

    3. Faulty Switch.

    4. Faulty Relay.

    (In no particular order)

Not sure, but check the black box located in the vicinity of the battery. I think the components are labelled on the cover.

It could also be located in the pillar at the passerger footwell.

Yeah I can hear the relay clicking when I press it, so relay and fuse is working
So presume it must be on the window itself where the problem lies

    any more ideas

    Cheers
