Non qualifying rounds-effect on handicap if any?

Just a question, if you return a good score in a competition that is classed as non qualifying is there any way of being cut?

I played an open day today where a temporary green was in use on one hole as work was being carried out on the regular green. and as a result the competition was deemed non qualifying. The rest of the course played as normal. So it was pointed out to us before we played that the competition was non qualifying.

So it got me thinking, if a bandit went and shot 45 points does he get away without any cut?

you could return the card for consideration under general play cut. this usually takes place on a twice yearly basis by the handicap committee. generally the 2 nd review is done in nov before the end of year as it were.

ya thats interesting, because i was thinking how unfair it would be if a bandit can go out and win a competition safe in the knowledge that their handicap will be untouched

i suppose the bandit would be safe really , as its up to you to return a card for consideration under general play !

In the uk you can have a qualifying comp with up to 2 temp green providing you are using the competition tees.
