At the minute I'm running, cycling and swimming at my own pace and sticking (loosely) to a plan I drew up for myself using Friel's Bible.

I wonder if there's anyone I could visit to set me up correctly or point me in the right direction for training?

I will be joining a club come Jan '11, so I know that will be of some help.

When I was in Wheelworx over the Summer there was a chap telling me that he could do a plan based on my current fitness, seeing what my weaknesses were etc. If I think of his name I'll post it, but did anyone find anything like this of use?

    Cheers

Depends entirely on who "the chap" was.

Some "coaches" are utterly utterly sh!te.
    Some are excellent.

Karl Gilligan was the chap, just found his brochure thing there. Any recommendations would be welcome too btw.

I've a mate who is a gym instructor, and she is trying her best for me tbh but it isn't sport specific.
