Poured Resin Flooring for Residential Job

I'm starting a small house extension soon and have to decide on what flooring to go with - Poured Resin vs Timber.

The Architects are keen for us to use a poured resin flooring but i'm a bit reluctant to go with it I've only ever seen it used in officE and gallery spaces. I'd be worried that it might damage easy and might not suit a residential space. (Its also likely to be more expensive)

Anyone out there got any experiences dealing with Poured resin flooring and whether its a good idea.

This is a resin floor on a flow screed in my home. We are in since xmas 09 . the other half loves it , easy to clean/sweep/hoover.It is hard wearing and is difficult to scratch although not impossible.Sliding heavy items with metal feet will scratch ,but not gouge.and seem to blend away.
The entire house cost €15.6 k 2150sq ft
