    FL/PL or NL?

Structure will obv vary dramatically depending on betting limits.

Hi MBR was thinking of PL , Dealer Ante.

PL is my personal fave way to play 5CD, but it defo creates confusion if you have lots of newbies or Holdem players in your tourney.

If you have lots of noobs, I would suggest a NL format with SB/BB similar to NLH or dealer ante. No openers and 15 min levels.

Seems like a fun tourney, so your main concern should be that the structure reflects this. Short levels and plenty of action will give the average player a short enjoyable tourney that nobody is going to take too seriously.

Not sure that this is what you're aiming for. I'd be happy to suggest proper structures etc, if not.

these were very popular years ago and generally it was pot betting up to a specific amount, usually 200 at the start and rising as the blinds rose

    10 times bb was normal

The Fitzwilliam still run a 5-cardraw event every week so they would be best for their rules

ps, only play until 4 left and count their chips to decide the winner

    derek

thks MBR and Clamper for replies, had 7 tables for Tourney and went well ,PL with dealer Ante until Final table where we went NL ,was unfamiliar with the 1 winner from each table qualifies for final mullarkey but We got there and would say 95% were happy , a few moaners about high Antes near end but shure whats new ? LOL...
