'A lovely guy to know.' The Guardian

Editor and Journalist extraordinaire, under the guidance of the lovely Finn this man has placed many an article in good old An Focal (know affectionately as An Fcuk-All!) Last year there way fcuk all in it, this year there's fcuk all wrong with it :D

Floppy haired with a goatee(most of the time), definately the artictic type.

Graduated from the High School of Rice(yes, RICE!), Class of 2010.

With many a mutual friend, how odd we didn't come across each other sooner!!

Me being the person I am, I'm already lowering the tone of the conversation.
    So....

How journalists do it... Journalists do it on a tight timetable.
Journalists do it on the front page.
Journalists do it with special editions.
Journalists do it with cameras and tape recorders.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you the one, the only Neon-Circles!

    So lets kick this off.

Am I the best Class Reps Development officer in the World?

When you were in that meeting with Finn yesterday and I didn't know ye were there and you all overheard what I was saying, what exactly did you overhear?!

Beans on toast or cheese on potato waffles?

How's life in the middle of nowhere these days?

How do you journalists ALWAYS manage to look so busy?

Will you try sneak an article about me into An Focal?

Why don't you visit us in the reps office more often? We have a kettle and a microwave!!

How was your trip to 'Boston??' :P

Why not Argon Rectangles? Or Xenon Squares? Or any other <noble gas-two dimensional geometric shape> combination?

    You are.

When you were in that meeting with Finn yesterday and I didn't know ye were there and you all overheard what I was saying, what exactly did you overhear?!

"Why do you think I wore a skirt today!". I was amused.

Beans on toast or cheese on potato waffles?

Neither really. but I suppose cheese on waffles would be fine, as long as it didnt stink the place up...

How's life in the middle of nowhere these days?

Pretty dull...not half as dull as Boston mind.;)

How do you journalists ALWAYS manage to look so busy?
Because we are! Deadline day is hectic. In fact everyday has a deadline. Thats why I see nobody when I walk around college. all I see are deadlines. Theres alot to be said for going for a pint at 10am to clear the head...(or just mess it up even more :p)

Will you try sneak an article about me into An Focal?

Sure I can try. Not much gets past young Finn though.

Why don't you visit us in the reps office more often? We have a kettle and a microwave!!
I was there yesterday...and the day before.... >_> just not today :p

How was your trip to 'Boston??' :P
I ended up standing on dog ****e after that photo was taken and that was NOT entertaining. It was fine though, what else would I be doing :p
Why not Argon Rectangles? Or Xenon Squares? Or any other <noble gas-two dimensional geometric shape> combination?

I'm not sure. I knows little about such things. All I know is some day long ago I decided I should be neon-circles...

    Favourite British newspaper?

How will print media evolve over the next few years? Will it survive?

Why do you want to be a journalist?

Would you be prepared to piss everyone off to get the biggest story of the decade? If not what measure of time (e.g. quarter century, century) would get you to do it?

    Favourite band?

    Last CD you bought?

Would you ever bungee jump/sky dive?

    Favourite breed of dog?

Which side of the bed did you get out of this morning?

Last time you got a "fcuk me" fright and jumped? What was it?

Favourite subject in school? Why? Least favourite and why?

Biggest life lesson you've ever had?

If you could go back and tell your 13 year old self something.. what would it be and why?

    That'll do for now :pac:

Probs the Guardian. Seems to be pretty balanced.

How will print media evolve over the next few years? Will it survive?
It wont need to do alot to be honest. There will always be that market for print media that will never ever die. While it will decline yes, it will never die. How it will evolve, im not sure. Things will stay pretty traditional I think.

Why do you want to be a journalist?
    Tis called natural ability :p:o

Would you be prepared to piss everyone off to get the biggest story of the decade? If not what measure of time (e.g. quarter century, century) would get you to do it?
Of course. Provided I could sure EVERYONE wouldnt get pissed off. To be fair though we've seen dozens of dramatic stories even i nthe last year and the effect will lessen as time goes on..

    Favourite band?
Arah, I'm not sure. All american rejects get me through alot so I'll say them

    Last CD you bought?
I'm bold and dont pay for my music :p I bought the lady gaga album for my friends birthday last year if that counts. I also bought Maniac 2000 MP3 on itunes the otherday...

Would you ever bungee jump/sky dive?
    After a few pints..

    Favourite breed of dog?
I have the best Westie ever so I'll have to say Westie! (Terrior)

Which side of the bed did you get out of this morning?
Can only get out on the left :)

Last time you got a "fcuk me" fright and jumped? What was it?
Mammy came into the room yesterday when I was viewing questionable content on the internet...

Favourite subject in school? Why? Least favourite and why?

Not in school anylonger :p English though. was good at it and my teacher was a dote...

Biggest life lesson you've ever had?
Going outside the comfort zone can have rewards.

If you could go back and tell your 13 year old self something.. what would it be and why?
Man up and cop the fúck on!

    That'll do for now :pac:

    Favourite form of public transport?

One thing you know about me? (From memory, no post stalking! :P)

    Favourite place in Ireland?

    C&H'rs that you've met?

Is it weird that boards is telling me that "favourite" is spelt wrong but "C&H'rs" is a fully legit word?

Dammit I've loads more questions but my battery is about to die! Later! :D

    Favourite form of public transport?
Train. Though I have to get several buses a day for college
One thing you know about me? (From memory, no post stalking! :P)
    You like skydiving?

    Favourite place in Ireland?
Good question. I guess I like Limerick because tis where I'm from :p but I'm rather fond of Dublin also.

    C&H'rs that you've met?
AllInOne! and I see SarahBeep! almost every day...

    What made you join boards?

    Any political views?

    Any religious views?

Best and worst things about college?

What did you prefer, primary school, secondary school or college?

    Biggest role model?

    Anyone you'd love to meet?

    Tea person or coffee person?

    Facebook, good or bad?

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,466 ✭✭✭highlydebased

    What made you join boards?
Arah I dunno. Lots of people.

    Any political views?
Sinn Fein...though not really. Not much point in voting for any of them as far as I can see, achieves nothing!

    Any religious views?
Atheist...I'm one of the born-catholic-but-going-through-defection people...

Best and worst things about college?
    Best- the people. worst-the work!

What did you prefer, primary school, secondary school or college?
College. Too many bed memories of school in general

    Biggest role model?
For a while it was Michael O' Leary but I'm not sure anymore...

    Anyone you'd love to meet?
    As above.

    Tea person or coffee person?
    Coffee. Tea is rank...

    Facebook, good or bad?
Great, but too much time spent on it is counterproductive I'm sure.

    What's your favourite season?

    Milk, yay or nay?

How much do you love UL in the Autumn on a scale of one to ten?

I presume your on the second floor in UL library. Do you people watch out the window when your supposed to be studying?! :)

If you had a Dæmon(an animal that reflected your soul) what would it be?! A unicorn, maybe. Just seems interesting,,

    What's your favourite season?
Winter - nothing beats some cold freshness!

    Milk, yay or nay?
    Certainly not.

How much do you love UL in the Autumn on a scale of one to ten?
About a 7. Gets far too wet and annoying walking around sometimes. They never have the heat on during a cold morning yet its on full blast when its roasting...!

I presume your on the second floor in UL library. Do you people watch out the window when your supposed to be studying?! :)
Yeah, I'm one of those. I like sitting up there though. Tis nice.

No. Wearing them when sleeping means waking up with numb feet...

Yeah, a westie. She's great haha. (a westie is a dog for those who are ignorant to such)

    Earliest memory?
Hiding in the cupboard in the hall in our first house when my cousins were arriving. haha.
