driver made 83 mobile calls before fatal crash

    It amazes me every day when i see people with phones stuck to their ears while they drive, but 83 calls on a journey between Maynooth and Swinford!
    I don't think i make that many mobile calls in 6 months( i use the landline alot!!)

    Im a bit confused about this bit though;
    "Judge Raymond Groarke imposed a three-year prison sentence suspended for three years on condition that there were no breaches of the Road Traffic Act. Gallagher was also banned from driving for 10 years."

    How can there be any breaches of the Road Traffic Act in those 3 years if he is banned from driving for 10 years?
