    Ok i know you'll prob think im a stupid girl but i had sex last night and the contraceptive method we used didn't work, so now I think I need to take the Emergency Contraceptive Pill. The thing is I wont have any money until Thursday and by then it'l be 2 late to take (and I cant borrow money). I was wondering if anyone knew of a clinic in Waterford where I could get this and pay for it and the consultation in a few days??

    Your advice is greatly needed and appreciated!!

    Consult your GP immediately, He/She will be able to either help or refer you to someone who can.

    Could your partner give you the money to purchase it?

    If she can't pay for the pill, how can she pay for a GP visit??

    Hi OP

    You are one of about 20,000 that this happens to. Don't worry about it at all. Your GP may have it in the press and wil give it to you letting you may for visit in a few days. No big deal.

    Other than that you can go to the clinic at Waterford Regional. It is an STI Clinic but if you explain your situation to one of the nurses they will sort you out.

    It is a small building seperate to hospital.

    Other than that if you are still worried and unable to get sorted post back up here again and I will try help you. If you are skint now the doctor will help you and at the end of the day a baby is a hell of alot more expensive than the doctor.

    Explain your predicament to the doctor. Give them your laser card details as guarantee that you will pay when you have money. More likely than not the doctor will have the MAP in stock so you won't have to worry about paying the pharmacist. Don't let the fact you are skint stop you from going to get it.
