weezer are re-releasing pinkerton (which is in my top 3 albums - if not number 1 album - since coming onto this earth) on november 2nd.

    here's two tracks from it:

    and getting up and leavin'

Such a breath of fresh air to hear new weezer (well unreleased until now weezer) that doesn't blow hard.

Ahhh.. 'Pinkerton'. How I love thee!

I don't think much from Weezer comes close to that album... but that might just be me!

nothing will touch pinkerton, but with Rivers diving into the treasure vaults, is the only way we'll get close to it, new weezer isn't going to cut it.

They're also releasing this, which I'm a bit confused by but think is more archive stuff? Boy, these guys are really ****ting albums out at the moment!

But Pinkerton Deluxe is tempting. Blue Deluxe was pretty great, and more classic Weezer can only be a good thing. Just wish they'd stop writing new music!

Great album but Maladroit is also great in my mind.

Ewwwwwwwww I can forgive everything they have done since then but this really was a crushing blow for me after the 1st 3 albums. Absolutely despised that record :(

I love that song. Nothing wrong with it all. Come to think of it, I quite like the Red Album, albeit mainly the first half. Not a guilty pleasure at all.

Delighted this is coming back again, quite like the first song above. Hope the 'Memories' Tour comes to Europe.

Red Album has a handful of decent tracks alright, probably the first four or so. I still really like Pork & Beans, it is sarcastic, catch and self depreciating which is something I didn't think Rivers was able to do anymore. Greatest Man Who Ever Lived I liked for a while, but like less with each listen. I remember listening to a few songs before the album was released and though: "a return to form perhaps?"

But boy the second half of that album is the same old new Weezer mediocrity.
