Discoloured chimney flue

hi Folks, there are 2 clay flues sticking out of my chimney stack. I will be closing off one and replacing the other as i am mfitting a stove. However, from the road, the old will look very black and ugly beside the new one. If I wire brushed it would it come out good? Is there a clay paint for this? Ideas? Thanks
