    Anyone any idea if this is going ahead or not? Have not heard anything about this in a couple of years now.

    We had test equipment in our garden recently in connection with the wind farm. Its still at the pre planning stage.

    You must live near the sea, is it not a few kilometres offshore? There was a platform that gets submerged with a turbine shaft attached here in clogherhead pier 2 years ago and that is long gone.
    Would be great for local employment when it gets going.

    Must be something different. We had equipment to measure wind speed and noise levels, but we live in the mountains. Apparently there is a wind farm planned for the Cooley mountains. I assumed this was what you were talking about.

    Yeah its different alright. I found the website on the offshore windfarm, but still no info if its going ahead.
