Hi i accidentally cracked my driver side mirror while reversing out of the drive the other day :o (hit if off the wheelie bin!). Now it is not very noticeably cracked and i can still see perfectly in it but just wondering would this affect my test - in other words could it result in my test being cancelled if i don't get it fixed beforehand?

Happened dad's car a few years back. He just went to the garage and they stuck a new mirror on top of it... Don't think it costs too much to do.. I wouldn't take the risk, even if it is a small crack!

If it is 'not very noticable and you can see perfectly, you should be ok. But the examiner could consider it to be a justifiable reason to cancel th test. It really depends how bad it is. As the first poster said you can get a generic stick on mirror for little or nothing.

You can actually drive your test with no mirrors, If the tester deems the Crack in the mirror bad enough he will expect you to look over your shoulder to view and wont accept you using the mirror,

I suggest call in to them before hand a few day and ask about it,
