    Hey,
I'm planning on getting a ukulele for the birthday of a special lady who also happens to be training as a primary school teacher. The cherry on top would be if I could get a book of kids' songs to go with it. Amazon doesn't really seem to provide song lists for a lot of the books so I'm reluctant to just get a random 'ukulele for kids' book.

Would anyone be able to make a recommendation??? My backup plan is to get one of these. Would I be better off just getting a book of uke chords and a generic children's songbook?

    Thanks,
    DR.

The playlist books are ok, we have the yellow one in stock which is a mix of pop/rock songs from Abba to Nirvana. I've not seen a Ukulele Children's book but I'm sure someone does one. What Ukulele are you looking at getting?

Haven't a clue to be honest. I was going to go into Walton's and ask them. I understand you can get a playable one for €60/70. Including books, I'd like to keep the whole lot under €100.

Hello again, I'm not really allowed to discus products that we sell on boards.ie but please feel free to contact us though our own website and I'll be glad to give you some tips regarding choosing a Ukulele ;)

The internet is fantastic for accessing music for uke, just type in the name of the song you want followed by the word ukulele chord/tab and you will get loads of hits. You can also use guitar songs as the chords are the same just the shape changes for the uke, print out a chord list or buy one for 3/4 euros and your away on a hack. Been playing for 2 years have not bought a book yet. Chordie is a website with thousands of songs and if you use the drop down menu on the right it will give you all the chord shapes for the songs, hope this helps, eamonn:)
