Help for an old newbie

Looking for some help from people in the know.

I used to love my dance music, going back about 10-15 years ago. Bought loads of compilation albums, a lot of Ministry of Sound stuff (bought The Annual for 5-6 years in a row). Also bought some Gods Kitchen and some Cream live. I could be mixing loads of styles there but it was what got me going:D

I loved mixes with big builds rising to a crescondo (sorry if my lingo is all out of date) and you'd get probably 3/4 on each of the long album mixes.

Anyway here's what I'm looking for. I do a bit of running, trying to get fit (dancing like a loon used to do it) and I'm looking for some good downloads from djs on here similar to what I used to love to break the monotony and keep the legs pumping. Can anyone guide me to someone who's doing what I like? I'll give feedback on anything I get. I've had a look through the members mixes but it's all a bit double dutch to be honest(God I'm making myself sound so old):)

Thanks for the help lads. It's not necessarily old skool I'm looking for, wouldn't mind a listen to some new stuff, just don't know what it is I'm searching for, House I think but then there's prog, hard, trance etc etc

if its gods kitchen stuff its more than likely trance for the most part.

Try this thread and if its the sort of stuff your looking for let us know.
Even if you can remeber some of the big tracks on the compilations it might give us an idea of what your expecting.

Google the compilations and itll give you the tracklistings

Ye, if ya have a look through the mixes on the second link they run up as far as 2006, might be something in there for ya.

Legend...exactly what I'm looking for. Just downloaded a Ferry Corsten mix there and it's ticking all the boxes.

Don't think you can download from mixcloud but there's plenty to listen to.
Some Dj's put downloadable sets up on Soundcloud.
Sound like it's Trance you're looking for so browse that category.

Off topic, but I had to re-read that track list three times just then, wondering if the night shifts were making my brain turn to mush. But no, disc 1 is listed Song > Artist, then disc 2 switches to Artist > Song.

I should really get back to work!

Sorry about that, didn't do it deliberatley just copied and pasted. I can sympathise with the night shift feeling though
