How to get iron working after it automatically shut off?

I left my iron on last week for about 8 hours and it automatically shut off. When I plug it in now it wont heat up. All the lights come on. It's a Breville. I read my manual and it does not say anything about how to resolve this issue. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? Cheers
