I met a guy from a dating website this weekend, he lives about five hours away but came up for the weekend to my town. We got along really well and I had an amazing time. At the end of his stay he asked me if I wanted to continue seeing him, and I agreed, since it seemed like there was chemistry.

But now I'm starting to think it went a little too well to be true. He said all the right things, we had all the same things in common, had great conversations, and he didn't try to push for sex so I'm assuming it's not about that. Outside of all that stuff, there's also the fact that he's an actor and it's kinda making me wary, even if it is a bit unfair, I don't like the idea of it.

Am I just being paranoid? Should I just go with it and see where it takes me? My last relationship kind of put me on edge and made me a little more self-preserving and it did only technically end a few months ago.

Also, I'm not sure about the distance.. I've been in LDRs before and it was always a horrible strain, if I continue seeing this guy I'm not sure how long it would last.

Any advice would be great. I just can't make up my mind!

Hmm..tough one, this guy seems like a smooth operator, but how long will that keep going when you have to drive to the other end of the country to see him?
Starting a relationship is hard enough without such a big distance, and as you have not had good expieriences in the past, it may be better to move on and find someone closer to home...

I honestly don't see what you stand to lose by continuing with him.
you say that you like him and that you had good conversation and he said all the right things to you.

If after a while it doesn't work out then that's fine, but you should at least give the guy a chance.

He likes you enough to come five hours to your town from the other end of the country. Think about it? There are women who live in his area who would surely be easier for him to get together with if he is so silky smooth? Instead he chose to meet you.
Meanwhile you are complaining about having to return the favor and drive 5 hours to meet him?:D
You might be sorry if you don't make the effort and it will be too late then.
Make a fist of it and if it all goes pear shaped at least you'll have no regrets that you didn't try.

Here, he asked you for another date, not to marry you. Just chill out and go with it, you said yourself you have chemistry so what's the big deal?

    IMHO you are over-thinking this.
