    A friend of mine is giving me her old iPhone. she was on billpay o2. can i use a prepay o2 sim card in the iphone?

    Yep. You will need to change the APN and maybe some other settings to use 3G internet. And definitely ask o2 about data rates and possibly get a data add on so you don't go through your credit in minutes using internet.
