Change of owner

    Does anyone know how long it takes to get the certificate of registration back when changing owners???

    This is my first time changing cars, I swapped my insurance over and as far as I am aware I cant tax it or NCT it until i get the registration back. The problem I have is that at least 1 day a week I need to drive it,is there any kind of lenience around this or is it strictly dont drive till your get it back?

    The tax is up on my old car and i dont want to tax it again if it'll only take a week or so, but if its longer then I'll go back to old car

    (hands up I didnt put much research into this before I done it :P)
