Delivery Status Notification

I keep getting delivery status notification emails from hotmail even though I haven't sent any emails! I have got a few emails back from people saying run a virus scan as it is probly a virus! I get about 10/15 of these notifications everyday and each day I have run a virus scan everyday! It comes back saying the computer is virus free but that it has founds a couple of tracking cookies which it has then deleted (using AVG free)

I don't know if it is not doing a prober virus scan or if there is even a virus at all!
Anyone got any suggestions??

Have you changed your email account password? The spam could be being generated from any computer on the planet if your password has been compromised.

Can you post a copy of one of the e-mails (preferrably with the message headers included)?

Ideally, we'd like to see the mail headers as well. How do you access your email? What program do you use?

I use hotmail...............

I just copied the whole email text over to here, not sure how to get headers aswell!!

Try the steps outlined here. It shows you what the complete mail should look like if successful, so post all of that.

I'd say your hotmail account got hacked. Happened to one of my friends as well. Suddenly I got useless emails from him. Knowing he would never send such sh*te I deleted all of them and send him a text on his phone.
