Selling to a UK dealer - how?

    Hi

I'm going to be selling a car in the near future to a UK dealer - it's not quite a classic (old Merc) but I'm getting a decent price and frankly it's easier than trying to sell in Ireland at the moment.

Legally, how do I do this? Is there a special form I need to complete? Do I give the buyer my Irish reg document (after payment :D)

    Thanks for any help

Give him the log book (registration cert) after he pays you, in cash preferably.
It's a good idea in a situation like this to print out a receipt which you both fill in (keep a copy for yourself). Here's a good one but you will have to change the american bits

Once the car gets registered in the Uk the DVLA will notify the DoE over here.
