    Cheers.

Either use the exisiting NTSC power supply that comes with it and a step down, or buy an EU power supply and use that.

The power comes out of the wall and goes into the power supply. What then comes out of the power supply is standard throughout. You can interchange power supplies from different regions.

It's only the bit between the wall and the power supply you have to be worried about.

edit - just on that note, some consoles have internal power supplies (like the ps2). So you'll need step down converters for that. But things likes the NES, Snes, Megadrive, Neo Geo etc all use external ones.

Thanks. I have a spare PAL NES with psu. So I can just use that then. Cool.

Just make sure your TV supports NTSC. Most older CRTs don't. We get around that by connecting via RGB..but the NES doesn't do RGB. So if your TV doesn't support NTSC you'll get a lovely black and white image!

As for the power supplies, just check the voltage to make sure it's the same. I'm pretty sure they are though. Should be 9v.

Thanks. I've a new lcd tv so ntsc should be fine. Of course, that leads me to another question... how to get the best picture display from your NES ?

Was looking at getting a CRT just for the NES. Worth it ?

ALso, was looking at some composite to hdmi scalers on ebay. ANy thoughts on these ? http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390075540433&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Why not just disable the region lockout chip on your PAL Nes to allow it to play NTSC games? Stupidly easy to do.

Ah just go all out and get a CRT. It's just going to look ****e on an LCD. Even a little portable would be better than an LCD.

Only problem you run with there though is the whole NTSC issue I mentioned. So you'll have to make sure the CRT supports it.

That's been done already. But while that will allow them to play it won't mean they all run correctly :)

A CRT might be the job alright. Just don't know if I have the room !?
