I'm looking for a lend of a white helmet for a Stig halloween costume, I'm DJing so I want the costume to be as authentic as possible i.e. a cheapo one from a costume shop might look naff..

Anybody able to help me out?

I honestly don't see anyone lending their helmet to someone they don't even know.

No chance, drop the helmet and it's damaged

And these can cost up to several hundred.

The Stig wears a Simpson helmet. Easily available on the internet

They are indeed easily available on the internet, but I'm not in a position to pay a few hundred euro for a halloween costume..

Maybe we can look at this another way: are there any other (cheaper) helmets that look similar? The average punter won't know the difference once its a white helmet.

I'm afraid I know nothing about racing helmets so I'm at a total loss info wise, i have looked online for Stig costumes but I've only found really tacky ones.

You could always buy a very cheap helmet and respray it if the average punter won't know the difference.

Perhaps someone in Motorbikes is getting rid of an old one?

Edit, just noticed you posted there too.

Cheers lads, the respray idea could well be a runner, one of my friends runs a small bodyshop so he might be able to do the needful.

    I'll keep you all posted!
