Hey guys,

It appears Gaelcon are running another SSF4 tournament this year:

Saturday

Morning

Super Street Fighter IV

format: 2/3 Rounds, 2/3 Games, Double Elimination, 99 Seconds, No Handicap Console: PlayStation 3 Rules: If the players do not agree on a stage within 15 seconds, the match will be random stage select. Winner must keep the same character, but can select a new ‘Ultra’ in game 2 or 3, but has to pick the ‘Ultra’ before the opponent picks theirs. This does not apply to blind pick.

However this year we've had no contact with them, so this is all I know about it. No point in asking me questions!

I know most of you will probably be at the Tekken tournament (which I will prob head into if SF ends quick enough) but more importantly, the other forum I mod, Nocturnal, is having beers on Sat night, feel free to join me in the Globe if you wish.

I sent a mail. If memory is correct it's prob around 11.30-12, but I'll let you know.

(Must buy rediculously expensive fancy custom stick)

Tournament starts (roughly) at 11.30. Registration begins at doors open which I think is 10 am.

But I knew that someone would give me the helpful info I needed....


Ps: I never saw anything about this until today and I have been on SF.ie several occasions this week, as the webchatters will attest.

I announced it a little while ago. I meant to do a recap post today as there is lots on this weekend but never got around to it unfortunately. If I get a chance I'll try squeeze it in before work tomorrow.

It was in the events plug in on the right side so that's a tip for ya.

Oh and I didn't care about you asking the questions. I just thought it was funny that you asked the question Kneecap had just asked.

Anyways, I have both a TE and the VSHG for PS3 in my bags.

I also have le Hauppagant du recordant les violence dans le rue quatre..


What I am saying is I'm hefting a load and it'd be cool if people could show up so I've not wasted my time.


Also, be aware we've no swing at this event, if you turn up too late to register thats it unless they're in the mood to help. There's no Dan to ring at things like this.

Again, I simply don't know- the website says PS3 so to enable people to play I am bringing a PS TE and my VSHG. That way, no one should have to play without a stick. If you're someone who is especially picky about sticks you might have to put up with it a little but hey, they're both sanwa sticks so you can't say fairer than that

I think my bus stops somewhere near the place on its way into to the city centre, might hop off and ramble.

Those who were there last year, what were the numbers/atmosphere like?

The con was great last year but the tournament wasn't great. I assume though this one will be a good laugh because the tournament con scene has really grown since then.

I'm heading straight out, it's not too far out of the city. I'll head into xgc for some casuals after though.
