It appears a new ticketing system, integrated ticketing system,is to be introduced in Dublin, next year. From what I read,it will be something similar to Oyster in London.Fares cost less than a paper ticket,IF IT WORKS PROPERLY.It is not unusual for someone to be greatly overcharged ,using Oyster.1 can be given a "free"journey but then penalty fared twice on the return. If you discover you have been overcharged, you must call a "lo-call"number where you could be waiting 30 minutes to speak with someone. As the title says,be careful.

what, you're giving warning about a system that doesn't even exist yet?!

I don't suppose you ever heard of being warned in advance?

If you have an excellent inside knowledge of this system that is coming to Dublin that you are able to speak about any flaws it has in advance of it coming on stream then that's fair enough.

However, you know absolutely nothing about this smart card whatsoever so it's at least uninformed scaremongering to say what you are saying about a system that has yet to be even designed, installed and tested, let alone when or even if it is rolled out in Dublin.

For goodness sakes, until the system is launched next year then there is hardly any point in making posts like this. As Ham'nd'Egger says you are making a lot of assumptions!

For what it is worth with Oyster you can always check what you have been charged at any Underground station by reviewing your travel at any ticket machine.

We can reopen it if/when this stuff is decided and implemented.
