Will any Irish fighters fight on the next UFC here?

When(or if) the UFC comes back to Ireland do you think that there will be any Irish fighters on the card? Tom Egan fought on the last card so it's very likely that there would be at least one irish fighter on the card.

Who would you like it to be? It's unfortunate that the UFC has no FW division as it's such a deep talent pool here. I'd bet on it being a fighter at LW or WW and probably against another European fighter making their debut with the promotion.

The last time Tom Egan was the one who fought and apparently the UFC gae him a 3 fight contract, but wastold he would only be fighting in the european UFC events, so fallowing the defeat to Hathaway, he declined the contract so he could fight in more non ufc events.

Not to be disrespectful, but that was a poor move on his part especially considering his lack of action since that fight. A contract with the UFC is as good as it gets regardless of where his fights would be. I don't think he has fought since has he?

Source? I trained with him and remember when the UFC cut him (according to the UFC) and I dont remember any of that.

I thought the reason Tom was cut was because he put colours in with whites in Dana White's washing machine?

    that's not what happened.

I really doubt he declined the contract, he was cut simple as. I remember him speaking about it afterwards, he never said he declined, which he obviously would of mention if it was the case

Tom Egan was given a 3 fight contract with the UFC. However there was a clause in the contract that said if he lost a fight he could be cut without the UFC having to complete the rest of the contract. (Which I believe is quite standard in alot, if not all UFC contracts).

Unfortunately Tom lost his 1st fight to John Hathaway (who has turned out to be an extremely good fighter at this level) and was cut.

Thats the fact of the matter, the rest is made up verbal diarrhea that somone has decided to deposit on this forum.

Suppose he didn't think he was ready as he was flung around the place during that fight. Hopefully we'll see him in the future
